Leadership in Uncertain Times

Izzy Obeng

15th July 2020 14:30 - 15:30 BST

This current moment in human history is like none other before. In the midst of a global pandemic, societal tensions run high. Businesses are disrupted, technological change is accelerating, unemployment has exploded and inequities within societies have been laid bare. What is a start-up leader to do?

Izzy Obeng will soon be running an accountability group for Capital Enterprise's Startup Resilience programme designed to help leaders step up and build a better future. Ahead of her group launching, we thought we'd give you a taster session of what it will cover via an interactive online workshop.

In this hour long workshop Izzy will speak about managing a team in uncertain times, building capacity as a leader, and being a strong leader your team trusts. She'll be speaking about building the competencies, skills and behaviours to meet stakeholder needs and nurture high-performing teams.

"No code" for startups: Building internal tools and automating workflows

David Peterson

16th July 2020 14:30 - 13:30 BST

If you are a startup founder or team member struggling to do a million things at once with a team half the size you really need it to be, you're probably keen to learn how you can automate a few of simple tasks your team spends precious time doing on a regular basis.

In this hour long workshop we'll cover how "no code" tools like Airtable and Zapier can be leveraged by early stage companies to build foundational workflows and automate tasks.

There are plenty of tools out there that can be easily deployed to help you run your business efficiently - no need to waste your expensive engineer's time building things specially!

This workshop is for anyone who is interested in learning how to automate their work with no code tools, in order to streamline internal workflows, and get the most out of your team.

Andy Davis

16th July 2020 12:00 - 13:00 BST

Andy's lunchtime hangouts are startup founders' chance to chat with Andy and each other about raising investment, funding, and any other general issues that have cropped up for you related to COVID or otherwise.

Andy Davis is Investor in Residence at Capital Enterprise, and an Angel Investor at Atomico.
